Padang, West Sumatra, Dec. 5 -- West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi conveyed plans to build a village for residents affected by the hydrometeorological disaster in Padang City, West Sumatra.

"Governor Dedi Mulyadi expressed his offer to build a village in Padang," Padang Deputy Mayor Maigus Nasir stated on Friday.

Padang City is currently facilitating disaster-affected residents, including preparing special housing located in Koto Tangah Sub-district, Nasir informed.

He stated that he fully endorses the West Java Governor's proposal and would welcome the development of the village, noting that it would help accommodate those displaced by the disaster.
