Indonesia, Dec. 13 -- West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi has instructed district heads and mayors in the flood- and landslide-hit regions to immediately prepare land for the construction of temporary housing for the affected residents.
"We must accelerate the construction of temporary housing. The affected communities need safe and humane places to live," he remarked in Padang Pariaman District on Saturday.
The governor noted that the construction of temporary housing is urgently needed following the disasters that devastated residents' settlements in several districts and cities.
