Jakarta, Aug. 30 -- Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka visited several injured residents at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) and Pelni Hospital in Jakarta on Friday night, following violent clashes between protesters and police.
A video obtained by ANTARA on Saturday morning showed Gibran visiting patients at both hospitals, located in Central and West Jakarta.
At Pelni Hospital, Gibran checked on Moh. Umar Amirudin, an online motorcycle taxi driver initially reported dead but later confirmed to be alive, conscious, and receiving treatment.
The vice president inquired about Umar's injuries and the protest, where Umar explained he had taken the route because many roads were blocked due to the demonstrations.
