Denpasar, Sept. 12 -- Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka on Friday visited families displaced by floods in Bali, assuring them the government will provide full support for recovery in the disaster-affected areas.
"We are assessing the extent of the damage. The most important thing is for everyone to remain calm. The government, regional leaders, and the head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) are here to help," Gibran said during his visit to the Banjar Tohpati evacuation post in Denpasar.
The vice president arrived at the site at around 10 a.m. local time and spoke with evacuees who shared their concerns directly with him.
