Jakarta, Aug. 4 -- Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka held a discussion with leaders of the Communion of Churches in Indonesia (PGI) and the Indonesian Christian Youth Movement (GAMKI) on the prevention and handling of intolerance.
After the meeting, PGI Chairperson, Pastor Jacky Manuputty, said intolerance remains a concern, emphasizing the need for all parties to uphold tolerance and unity in society.
"We discussed the issue of intolerance and several recent incidents. We share a common concern about maintaining national unity. Cases of intolerance must be addressed optimally, both from legal and legislative aspects," Manuputty remarked here on Monday.
