Jakarta, Aug. 14 -- Manpower Minister Yassierli believes vocational education plays a strategic role in preparing Indonesia's graduates to be job-ready.
In a statement on Thursday, Yassierli said formal qualifications alone are insufficient, as today's industries demand talents with specific skills, certifications, portfolios, and multiple competencies.
"In the past, being an expert in one field was sufficient, but today's job market requires people to have both specialization and generalization, and even multiple specializations," the minister remarked.
