Jakarta, Feb. 6 -- The Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (PDT) has slashed its 2025 budget by Rp1 trillion (US$59 million) as a follow-up to the budget efficiency policy.
Chairman of Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Lasarus, made this announcement during a hearing meeting with several ministries on Thursday.
"The 2025 budget that we approved was Rp2.1 trillion, which was reduced to Rp1 trillion. Thus, the final budget for the PDT Ministry in 2025 is Rp1.1 trillion (US$68 million)," Lasarus remarked.
Commission V approved the budget cut during the meeting.
