Jakarta, July 7 -- The government is determined to involve Red and White Village Cooperatives in the national project to build three million homes for low-income citizens, Minister of Cooperatives Budi Arie Setiadi stated.

"Yes, they (village cooperatives) will play a role in this program, including in gathering data on rural residents in need of housing," he remarked in Jakarta on Monday.

He commended the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) for its willingness to empower cooperatives through this housing initiative.
