Indonesia, May 10 -- A free medical and humanitarian service held as part of the Vesak Day celebrations at Taman Lumbini Park, Borobudur Temple, Magelang District, Central Java, is targeting to serve around eight thousand patients.

Chair of the Indonesian Buddhist Council (WALUBI) S. Hartati Murdaya stated here on Saturday that the two-day social service, held on Saturday and Sunday (May 11), involves about 200 doctors and 300 medical personnel.

She explained that the social event is open to the public, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or background.

Murdaya emphasized that every act of kindness generates a positive impact, benefiting both the recipients and those who give.
