Jakarta, April 26 -- Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Stella Christie, here on Saturday, urged universities to employ research-based teaching.

"We need to conduct research-based teaching so that we can produce new innovations," Christie remarked when met by reporters after delivering a scientific oration during the graduation ceremony at YARSI University.

According to Christie, the research-based teaching approach is essential for generating various innovations, as new innovations will not emerge without systemic breakthroughs.

She affirmed that innovation plays a vital role in industrial advancement and economic growth.
