Jakarta, April 9 -- President Prabowo Subianto and the fifth Indonesian president, Megawati Soekarnoputri, agreed that the tariff policy announced by United States President Donald Trump should serve as a momentum for the revival of national products.

This statement was conveyed by chairperson of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) and secretary general of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, here on Wednesday.

He said that Megawati and Prabowo discussed the US tariff policy during Prabowo's visit to Megawati's residence on Teuku Umar Street, Central Jakarta, on Monday night.

"Both agreed that this (the US tariff) should be used as momentum for the revival of Indonesian products," Muzani informed at the parliament complex.
