Jakarta, April 28 -- The United States government responded positively to Indonesia's proposals for strengthening bilateral economic ties in light of President Donald Trump's tariff policy, Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated.

The minister made this statement at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Monday, after briefing President Prabowo Subianto regarding the results of the Indonesian delegation's tariff negotiation mission in Washington, D.C., last week.

"In principle, Indonesia's offers, which were outlined in a letter, have been appreciated by the US. This is because the letter contained relatively comprehensive proposals," he told the media.
