Jakarta, June 24 -- Jakarta police reported on Tuesday that two men were arrested for allegedly trafficking one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, on Sunday, June 22.
The suspects, identified only as WI and RZ, were apprehended with the drug package they intended to sell in the Cengkareng area, according to Jakarta Police Narcotics Unit Head, Adjunct Commissioner Emir Maharto.
The raid was conducted on Sunday at 8:45 p.m., following a tip-off from residents who suspected the two of dealing drugs in the neighborhood, Maharto added.
The suspects told investigators that the meth was intended for distribution in East Java. Maharto noted that the investigation is ongoing.
