Banda Aceh, Jan. 7 -- Two disaster-affected areas in Aceh, North Aceh District and Bener Meriah District, have shifted from emergency response status to the emergency transition period following flash floods and landslides that occurred in late November 2025.

"The transition period is a crucial phase to ensure that recovery efforts are well planned and properly coordinated," said M. Nasir, Regional Secretary and Head of the Aceh Disaster Emergency Response Post, on Wednesday.

The North Aceh District government has set a one-month emergency transition period toward recovery, running from January 6 to February 5, 2026.
