Jakarta, July 7 -- Indonesia has expressed full faith in its teams negotiating the reciprocal tariffs with the United States amid President Donald Trump's warning to impose an additional 10 percent tariff on BRICS members and allies.
"We trust our negotiators who are currently in the United States," Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said on Monday.
BRICS is an acronym for Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. Over time, the bloc has expanded to include Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Indonesia.
Kartasasmita said that the tariff negotiators assigned to the US have the best reciprocal targets for Indonesia.
