Jakarta, July 14 -- Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, confirmed that the implementation of US President Donald Trump's 32 percent tariff on Indonesian products has been postponed.
On July 7, Trump announced that the tariff would take effect on August 1.
"There is a postponement in the implementation (of the tariff) to allow for the finalization of ongoing negotiations," Hartarto said in a video statement observed on Monday.
The decision followed Hartarto's meeting with US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and US Trade Representative (USTR) Chief Jamieson Greer in Washington, DC, on July 9.
