Jakarta, Aug. 30 -- Jakarta's bus rapid transit system, Transjakarta, suspended all services on Friday after widespread protests in the metropolitan city led to damage at several key bus stops.
"Given the situation has not yet normalized, all Transjakarta services remain suspended," Head of the company's Public Relations and CSR Department Ayu Wardhani said on Saturday.
She said the Transjakarta Command Centre is closely monitoring developments before making a decision on when operations will resume.
Service updates will be posted through the TJ: Transjakarta mobile app and official social media channels, she added.
