Jakarta, July 29 -- The Indonesian Police's Traffic Corps reported a decline in traffic accidents during the implementation of the nationwide traffic enforcement operation, Operasi Patuh 2025, from July 14 to July 27.

"Throughout Operation Patuh, the number of traffic accidents declined by 367 cases, from 3,251 last year to 2,884, almost 12 percent," Traffic Corps Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho noted in his official statement on Tuesday.

He also highlighted a reduction in traffic accident fatalities, which dropped to 83 during this year's operation, along with a decrease in injuries from 417 in the 2024 operation to 334 this year.
