Jakarta, April 12 -- Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi on Saturday reported that the number of traffic accidents during the 2025 Eid al-Fitr transportation period stood at 4,640, reflecting a decline of 34.31 percent compared to the year-ago period.

"Traffic accidents declined by 34.31 percent in 2025 compared to 2024," he said at a press conference on the closing of the 2025 Eid al-Fitr Transportation Center Post in Jakarta.

The data was obtained from the Integrated Road Safety Management System (IRSMS) of the National Police (Polri) and covered the period from March 21 to April 11, 2025.
