Jakarta, Nov. 21 -- The Ministry of Trade has confirmed that staple food prices across several regions remain stable ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holidays.
Direct monitoring in multiple cities has shown no significant price fluctuations.
Trade Minister Budi Santoso said his recent visits to Padang, Bandung, and earlier to Surabaya indicated that overall prices were under control.
"Yesterday I went to Padang and Bandung, and earlier to Surabaya. Prices there looked good," he said here on Friday.
The ministry continues to monitor strategic commodities in real-time through the Market and Basic Necessities Monitoring System (SP2KP).
