Jakarta, Nov. 7 -- Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago has urged the National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police (Polri) to enhance coordination and synergy in maintaining security across Papua.

"Our shared duty is to ensure that the people of Papua experience the state's real presence - through stable security, quality public services, and fair opportunities," Chaniago said.

He delivered the remarks while addressing personnel at the Papua Regional Police Headquarters during a working visit, according to a statement from the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs on Friday.
