Jakarta, Jan. 31 -- Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto announced a plan to open opportunities for people with disabilities to join the military.
This plan aims to allow individuals with disabilities to serve the country through the military.
"We will set up a working group to evaluate whether it is necessary to allow people with disabilities to join the TNI, with the goal of supporting our main duties," Subiyanto stated during a press conference at the TNI Headquarters here on Friday.
The commander general noted that the concept was influenced by the National Police (Polri), which has already opened positions for people with disabilities.
