Jakarta, Sept. 21 -- Indonesia's military chief General Agus Subiyanto on Sunday praised troops deployed on a humanitarian mission near Gaza during a virtual call held at a military health and social service event in Jakarta.

Speaking via video link, Subiyanto addressed the team stationed in Egypt, just 40 kilometers from the Gaza border, and commended their efforts in treating Palestinian civilians affected by the conflict.

"We are proud of you for helping our brothers and sisters in the conflict zone," he said.
