Jakarta, Dec. 3 -- The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) deployed a transport aircraft to airdrop relief supplies in Aceh Tamiang District on Tuesday.

In a statement issued in Jakarta, Head of the Air Force Information Service Air First Marshal I Nyoman Suadnyana said the logistics were delivered using a C-130J Super Hercules.

"This airdrop is part of the Air Force's ongoing efforts to speed up the distribution of relief supplies to disaster-affected areas that remain unreachable by land," he said.

According to Suadnyana, personnel released the aid over Bima Field in Kualasimpang Sub-district, which had previously served as a distribution point for helibox assistance.
