Jakarta, Sept. 12 -- The Indonesian Army (TNI AD) has deployed troops in the evacuation of victims affected by the massive floods in Bali.

The Head of the Indonesian Army Information Service, Brigadier General Wahyu Yudhayana, told Antara that the deployed personnel are from the IX/Udayana Regional Military Command (Kodam IX/Udayana).

"Currently, more than 300 TNI AD personnel, along with the National Police (Polri), Basarnas (National Search and Rescue Agency), and other relevant agencies, have been deployed at various locations," Yudhayana said when confirmed on Friday.

He explained that army personnel have been dispatched to 147 flood-affected areas and 32 landslide-affected locations across Bali. Their duties include searching for ...
