Jakarta, April 10 -- Deputy Minister of Trade, Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, said that the revitalization of the Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) between Indonesia and the United States (US) could help expand bilateral trade.
"The hope is that the TIFA revitalization can be a platform for the two countries to explore potential collaboration so that the trade between the two countries can be expanded," she explained.
Putri made the remarks during the "Public Forum: Regional Response to Trump 2.0" event organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Indonesia, which was followed online from Jakarta on Thursday.
She noted that the government will renew TIFA, which was first implemented in 1996.
