Jakarta, Aug. 30 -- Secretary-General of the Ministry of Villages and Underdeveloped Regions (Sekjen Kemendes PDT), Taufik Madjid, stated that the Integrated Village Economic Transformation Program (TEKAD) aims, among other goals, to accelerate inclusive economic growth.

"It is hoped that the TEKAD program will stimulate faster development so that villages classified as underdeveloped and very underdeveloped can transform into advanced and self-reliant villages," Taufik said, as quoted in a statement received here on Saturday.

He made the remarks while opening the National Workshop on Building Government Commitment for TEKAD Program Targets 2025 in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Friday evening.
