Jakarta, June 26 -- Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions, Yandri Susanto, has highlighted the importance of village leaders increasing their tech-savvy, saying this could help raise agricultural yields and improve food resilience.

Susanto said that the skill would be useful for supporting the Free Nutritious Meals program, given the large volume of resources needed to run the initiative. Villages are expected to supply the ingredients for the program, such as vegetables, chilis, and eggs, he added.

"When the (program) recipients reach millions, it needs many ingredients," he pointed out in a statement released here on Wednesday.
