Jakarta, Aug. 23 -- A sustainable infrastructure is key to advancing the energy transition and green economy, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono emphasized.

"The future must be built upon sustainable infrastructure-one that is not only strong and efficient, but also low-carbon, climate-resilient, and inclusive," the minister stated at the PYC International Energy Conference 2025 here on Saturday.

He noted that infrastructure which empowers people can drive progress toward a green economy.

However, achieving this goal comes with challenges. For instance, the share of renewable energy in Indonesia was only 14 percent in 2024-well below the targeted 23 percent for 2025.
