Jakarta, Feb. 4 -- The Sumatra Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force will prioritize recovering markets and places of worship, as well as building temporary housing, ahead of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
The task force's spokesperson, Amran, told a press conference here on Wednesday that the move is intended to ensure residents affected by the Sumatra floods and landslides can conduct their economic and religious activities smoothly during the month.
According to the task force's latest data, the recovery of markets across the three affected provinces in Sumatra has shown significant progress.
"The data shows that over 90 percent of markets are now functioning well," he said.
