Jakarta, Dec. 3 -- The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has deployed 276 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) to serve as emergency kitchens for residents displaced by floods and landslides in Aceh, West Sumatra and North Sumatra.

BGN Head Dadan Hindayana said in Jakarta on Wednesday that the units-part of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program-are designed to serve anyone in need during emergencies.

"A total of 276 SPPG units remain active in supporting evacuees, because when disaster strikes, assistance cannot be limited to children. All affected communities must be helped," he said.

According to BGN data, 81 units are operating in Aceh, 129 in North Sumatra and 66 in West Sumatra.
