Jakarta, Dec. 13 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto affirmed his commitment to regularly monitoring conditions in areas and among residents affected by floods and landslides in Langkat District, North Sumatra, underscoring the government's presence during emergencies.

He reassured disaster survivors of the government's determination to address the crisis during his visit to a refugee shelter at a public Islamic high school in Langkat on Saturday, as seen in a livestream broadcast on his secretariat's YouTube channel.

"I will continue to monitor your well-being day by day, week by week. We will do our best to assist all residents facing hardship because, ladies and gentlemen, you are part of this nation," Prabowo told residents.
