Medan, North Sumatra, Dec. 1 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs is accelerating efforts to restore telecommunication services in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra that have been affected by devastating floods and landslides.

"We continue to speed up handling in flood- and landslide-affected areas, and continue to collect data on constraints that we must address," Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid said in a coordination meeting in Medan, North Sumatra, on Monday.

She stated that the floods and landslides in the three provinces of Sumatra have damaged infrastructure, including the telecommunication network infrastructure belonging to several mobile operators.
