Denpasar, Bali, Dec. 5 -- Indonesian Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa announced the readiness of additional emergency funds to address devastating floods and landslides across Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra provinces.
However, the allocation of these funds remains pending as the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) has yet to submit a formal funding request.
"We are waiting for a request from BNPB," Minister Purbaya stated in Bali on Friday.
He confirmed that a special task force has been formed in the affected regions. While he declined to specify the total amount prepared, he emphasized, "If there's a shortfall, it can be calculated. The funds are ready."
