Banda Aceh, Aceh, Dec. 13 -- The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) reported that the evacuees displaced by floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra declined from 884 thousand to 654 thousand people as of Saturday.
Head of the Disaster Data, Information, and Communication Center at BNPB, Abdul Muhari, said in Banda Aceh on Saturday that the reduction in the number of evacuees is because some have already returned to their respective homes.
Meanwhile, the death toll across the three provinces reached 1,006 as of Saturday, consisting of 414 fatalities in Aceh, 349 in North Sumatra, and 242 in West Sumatra.
