Jakarta, Nov. 30 -- The Indonesian government continues to mobilize institutions and resources to accelerate efforts in handling floods and landslides across Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra as the death toll has reached 303.
Head of the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) Suharyanto said in a statement on Sunday that emergency measures are focused on search and rescue operations, the fulfillment of survivors' basic needs, the reopening of isolated areas, and the acceleration of logistics delivery.
"BNPB ensures that the state is acting swiftly through close coordination among local governments, ministries, agencies, the military, the police, and volunteers," he said.
