Padang, Dec. 1 -- Indonesia's food affairs chief ordered state logistics agency Bulog to deliver twice the required volume of basic goods to flood- and landslide-hit areas across three Sumatra provinces.
Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan said the move aims to stabilize supplies and prevent unrest as communities in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra face disruptions to road access.
"I have instructed Bulog to supply logistics and essential needs at double capacity," Hasan said during a visit to flash-flood-hit Ikur Koto in Padang on Sunday.
