Jakarta, Dec. 12 -- Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) said that infrastructure development is essential to advancing Indonesia's marine and fisheries sector.
He emphasized that as a maritime nation, Indonesia possesses abundant ocean resources that must be protected and managed so their benefits can be fully realized by the public.
"Infrastructure is the backbone of national development. The marine and fisheries sector holds tremendous potential, but it all requires strong and integrated infrastructure," AHY said in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.
