Jakarta, Sept. 9 -- Former Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati extended a heartfelt apology to the Indonesian public for any shortcomings during her tenure in President Prabowo Subianto's Red and White Cabinet.

"No one is perfect. In carrying out mandates, there may be shortcomings and errors. For this reason, I would like to tender a humble apology," she said during the handover ceremony at the Finance Ministry headquarters in Jakarta on Tuesday.

The former Managing Director of the World Bank Group also expressed gratitude to all parties who supported her throughout her service as state treasurer.
