Indonesia, Nov. 28 -- South Kalimantan's Forestry Office has begun restoring 250 hectares of degraded forest and land under the 2025 REDD+ Result-Based Payment (RBP) scheme and launched initial planting on 100 hectares in Banjarbaru city on Thursday.

"This program marks the start of forest and land rehabilitation supported by the Green Climate Fund (GCF), which recognizes Indonesia's progress in cutting emissions," the provincial forestry office head, Fathimatuzzahra, said in Banjarbaru.
