Tangerang, June 25 -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that 68 people out of 97 Indonesian citizens evacuated from Iran are still waiting for a flight back to Indonesia.

The Ministry's Director General of Protocol and Consular Affairs, Andy Rahmianto, stated on Wednesday that 68 Indonesians are currently staying at the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Tehran and Baku.

"We are preparing their flight schedule to immediately return to Indonesia," Rahmianto noted.

He explained that the evacuation of 97 Indonesians from Iran was conducted in several stages, wherein under the first stage, 29 people returned to Indonesia on separate flights.

Meanwhile, the remaining 68 people are still taking shelter at the Indonesian Embassy in Tehran ...
