Tangerang, Banten, Aug. 30 -- The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police and the Jakarta Metropolitan Police deployed 315 personnel to prevent potential disturbances to public order and security at vital facilities, including the airport area.

"There are increased patrols at the terminals and the area around the airport, but there are no roadblocks," Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Ronald Sipayung, spoke to ANTARA on Saturday.

According to him, the increased security alert at vital facilities is aimed at preventing threats or disturbances to public order following the riots that sparked in Jakarta on Friday.
