Jakarta, Sept. 10 -- Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Kartika Wirjoatmodjo said that cybersecurity readiness must be a priority in developing the digital economy, as the banking sector remains a primary target for cyberattacks.

According to Wirjoatmodjo, phishing and ransomware attacks occur daily, particularly targeting Indonesia's major digital banking applications such as Livin' Mandiri, BRImo, and Byond BSI.

"The most important thing is for our human capital to prepare cyber troops and cyber patrols that actively safeguard our entire digital ecosystem," he said in Jakarta on Wednesday.
