Banyuwangi, July 4 -- The Indonesian government formally handed over the bodies of six victims from the Tunu Pratama Jaya ferry that sank to their grieving families at Ketapang Port in Banyuwangi, East Java, on Thursday evening.

Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi offered prayers for the deceased and families who lost their loved ones as he handed over the coffins to the mourners for burial.

"May God Almighty give the families strength and patience during this difficult time, and may the victims have passed away in a state of 'Husnul Khotimah' (a good ending)," Minister Purwagandhi remarked.
