Jakarta, Dec. 5 -- Deputy Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Fahri Hamzah has called on sharia-based property developers to take a major role in the 3 Million Houses Program.

He urged sharia property developers to act as drivers of change in the 3 Million Houses Program.

"The sharia concept is a grand concept from God. Do not feel marginalized. This industry must have the courage to step forward, take the stage, and deliver the solutions the peoples have long been waiting for," said Fahri in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.

He emphasized that President Prabowo Subianto is committed to protect a fair housing system and ensuring that policies which do not serve the public interest are corrected.
