Jakarta, Sept. 3 -- Several vendors at Pasar Senen Jaya shopping center resumed operations on Wednesday, following recent demonstrations filled with unrest in the surrounding areas of Senen and Kwitang, Central Jakarta.

As early as 8:49 a.m. local time, several traders were seen preparing to open their shops, although the market officially begins operation at 10 a.m.

Eyewear shops, clothing and accessories stores, as well as several food and beverage outlets have reopened and are serving customers, while some shops remain closed.

Pasar Senen Jaya resumed operations on Tuesday (September 2), after being temporarily closed by the management due to unrest that led to the burning of a nearby TransJakarta bus stop.
