Jakarta, July 5 -- Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf announced that 1,469 teachers are ready to start teaching at 100 Sekolah Rakyat (People's School) in the first phase, starting in mid-July 2025.

"They have passed a selection process and will receive training similar to that given to school principals," he stated after closing the second batch of Sekolah Rakyat principals' retreat in Jakarta on Saturday.

Before the teaching and learning process, all teachers, principals, education staff, and students will participate in a matriculation or orientation period, which is planned to commence on July 14, 2025, the minister explained.
