Bangkok, Dec. 16 -- Indonesia's rowing team won two gold medals and one silver in the finals of the 2025 SEA Games in Chonburi, Thailand, on Tuesday.

La Memo secured Indonesia's first gold after winning the men's 2,000-meter single sculls in eight minutes 10.247 seconds, finishing ahead of Thailand's Premanut Wattanusith and the Philippines' Cris Nievarez.

"It was a hard-fought victory because we are not accustomed to waves. Our training took place in the relatively calm waters of Lake Cipule," Memo said, referring to a lake in Karawang, West Java.

Despite running third for much of the race, Memo regained momentum through focus and technical precision to claim victory in the final stretch.
