Medan, June 21 -- A Saudi Airlines plane made another emergency diversion at Kualanamu International Airport, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, Saturday morning.

"Today, at 9:27 local time, one flight diverted and landed at Kualanamu International Airport," Acting Director of Operation and Service at PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi, Nugroho, noted in a written statement in Medan, Saturday.

The aircraft, operating as flight number SV5688 on the Jeddah-Surabaya route, was forced to make a technical landing as a precautionary measure to ensure flight safety.

Nugroho affirmed that all procedures for handling the aircraft and passengers were carried out properly in accordance with applicable procedures.
