Bojonegoro, June 26 -- Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Yuliot Tanjung stated that the Indonesian government is currently evaluating an offer from Russia to supply oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the country.
"It will be evaluated, as we aim to diversify our imports from multiple countries. We will review the consistency of supply-this is our first priority," Yuliot said in Bojonegoro, East Java, on Thursday.
He added that other key considerations include pricing and compatibility with Indonesia's existing domestic refineries.
"This is still under review, as oil and gas fields have different specifications. Our team is currently discussing it," he explained.
